The fashion at this year’s Oscars was superb. But the beauty? Well, it was pretty stellar, too. In fact, from the hairstyles to the makeup, the 2021 Oscars beauty looks were some of the best of this modified awards season.
When it came to hairstyles, easy, breezy strands and fancy updos both proved popular. Zendaya channeled Cher with her long locks. Margot Robbie’s low ponytail was polished yet laid-back. On the other end of the spectrum, Amanda Seyfried’s pinned ‘do was pure Old Hollywood.
Deep lips were trending. Vanessa Kirby’s were accented by some well-placed blush. Eye-catching eyeshadow was also big. H.E.R. rocked purple shadow that tied in seamlessly with her Dundas ensemble. While Amanda’s cranberry shimmer shade made her eyes sparkle.

Margot Robbie
To create Margot Robbie’s "effortless" ponytail, Bryce Scarlett applied ghd Body Goals Total Volume Foam on wet hair. Then ghd Bodyguard Heat Protect Spray was sprayed before blowdrying the star’s locks using the brand’s Ceramic Vented Radial Brush in Size 3 along with a ghd Helios Professional Hair Dryer to lift the roots and provide a smooth finish. After drying, the ghd Limited-Edition 20th Anniversary Platinum+ Styler created soft waves. Finally, the crown was teased before gathering locks into a low pony with soft pieces surrounding Margot’s face.

Renato Campora gave Amanda Seyfried a vintage updo by applying Fekkai’s CBD Calming Supreme Oil and the brand’s Brilliant Gloss Multi-tasker Perfecting Crème on damp lengths. After drying each section with the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer Professional Edition, Dyson's Corrale straightener was used to create the fabulous updo. Amanda’s eyes dazzled courtesy of Genevieve Herr and the cranberry shimmer shade from Lancôme's Hypnôse 5-Color Eyeshadow Palette in Rose Fusion, which set off the nominee’s moody lip.
