The post 10 of the Most Ridiculously Fabulous Pieces From Pharrell’s Debut Louis Vuitton Collection appeared first on theFashionSpot.
]]>For some of us fashion folk, the debut Spring 2024 collection of Pharrell Williams as Louis Vuitton’s menswear creative director is still fresh in our minds. Back in June, the American record producer-turned-designer staged his first Louis Vuitton offering and closed off the famous Pont Neuf bridge in Paris for the occasion – to much fanfare. Attended by the likes of Beyoncé, Rihanna and Zendaya, Pharrell’s showcase was full of cultural significance and reimagined LV iconography. The buzz-worthy collection has since made its way into Louis Vuitton stores across the globe and is now readily available online for purchase. Here at theFashionSpot, we have handpicked just 10 of the most ridiculously fabulous pieces to swoon over.
Scroll further for jackets costing $150,000.00 (yes, seriously), some must-have cozy shearling boots and even an exclusively made-to-order skateboard:
Creative Director Pharrell Williams revisits the iconic Speedy P9 Bandoulière 50 Monogram Leather bag in luxuriously soft and supple calfskin with a bold primary colorway. The Monogram is printed on the Speedy using a sophisticated silk-screen technique that reproduces the twill aspect of the Monogram on canvas, a blurry, almost hand-painted effect ($12400.00).
The LV Super Vision Round Sunglasses appeared as a key accessory in Pharrell Williams’s Men’s Spring-Summer 2024 Show for Louis Vuitton. The stylish signature frames are crafted from rubber-effect nylon and the dark grey lenses are framed in silver-color metal. The removable lens caps display the House’s signature, which is reprised on the temples ($795.00).
The Louis Vuitton Sandwich Bag is made from supple cowhide leather in exactly the same color as the House’s famed shopping bags. And features the same “Louis Vuitton” and “Maison Fondée En 1854” lettering found on the bags. Inside there’s a zipped pocket and a double flat pocket to keep things organized ($3350.00).
This aviator blouson from the SS24 Show is given a luxurious twist in grained calfskin, ennobled with a tonal embroidered allover LV Blason. It has a soft tonal mink collar for warmth, while a martingale construction at the back adds an elegant sartorial detail. This refined piece is perfect both for city strolls and weekend getwaways ($11200.00).
For S/S 2024, Pharrell Williams launches a new product to display your favorite pair of shoes: the Shoe Box ($18800.00).
The LV Footprint low boot was one of the statements of Louis Vuitton’s Spring-Summer 2024 men’s show, designed by Pharrell Williams. The upper is crafted from soft, cozy shearling, which is printed with an oversized Monogram pattern. The rubber outsole was inspired by a bear’s paw print and is decorated with House signatures ($2470.00).
For his first show, Pharrell Williams introduces the copper line on hardsided pieces. This animation will please any Louis Vuitton collector, seeking exceptional, one-of-a-kind pieces ($34000.00).
This track top from the SS24 Show is made from cotton ennobled with pearls. Applied by hand, they outline the collar, zip closure and pockets and create a striking relief effect along the sleeves. A pearl-embroidered LV patch on the chest completes this sophisticated piece, which has matching jogpants for a total look ($7450.00).
This LV x Henry Taylor skateboard is a true collector’s item, exclusively made to order. The deck bears a bold LV signature, while the underside features the distinctive acrylic-paint portrait work of Californian artist Henry Taylor. Polished gold-tone trucks create a striking contrast with the board’s predominantly brown colorway. A magnificent gift for the skate devotee ($3700.00).
This Made to Order baseball jacket captures the essence of the SS24 Show’s sophistication. Crafted from crocodile skin, it is meticulously assembled by hand. Contrasting crocodile patches add graphic signatures, with this collection’s emblematic LV Lovers logo across the chest and an LV Eiffel Tower on the left sleeve. This remarkable piece offers the perfect blend of comfort and elegance ($153000.000).

]]>Adidas Superstar sneakers are getting an artsy makeover thanks to a new mass collaboration between Pharrell Williams and a group of artists. The much-loved producer and fashionisto has partnered with photographer and director Cass Bird, architect Zaha Hadid, artist Todd James and Japanese artist Mr. on a mass collaboration in which each puts their personal spin on the Adidas Superstar Supershell sneaker.
For the 10-piece “Artwork” collection, the artists dreamed up one design each to place on the shoe’s toe shell while Pharrell himself came up with the remaining six designs. Each shoe comes in either black or white. Playful florals, smiling anime characters and some good old fashioned photography decorate the shell caps, bringing a dope spin on the classic Adidas shoe. Part of the limited-edition range is already up on the Adidas Originals website, marked with a “coming soon” tag, with prices ranging from $100 to $120 – not a bad price for a pair of fly kicks.

]]>Who are the most stylish men in the world? GQ‘s got the answer. The ladmag just released its list of the 20 most stylish men alive, guys who all dress the way we wish the men in our lives would. Of course, it’s a little easier to be stylish when you’re rich, famous and have designers scrambling to get their clothes seen on your body. But even though all the men on this list have charmed lives and are on many a fashion designer’s FROW wish list, it’s hard to deny that each has a unique sense of style that deserves to be highlighted.
Naturally, Kanye West made the list, as well as other stylish regulars you might expect: Pharrell Williams, A$AP Rocky, Harry Styles, David Beckham and Eddie Redmayne are all named as part of GQ‘s stylish group.
Absent from the list is Joe Jonas, who was excluded because in many ways, his style fame has surpassed his music career. Bad news for Jonas is good news for Jaden Smith, who is known to play with nontraditional silhouettes for men and isn’t afraid to rock a cape to prom. Jay Z‘s grown-up rapper dad style got him a spot on the list alongside Brad Pitt, Daniel Craig, Bradley Cooper, Ryan Gosling and Russell Westbrook.
Check out the full list of GQ‘s stylish guys.

]]>In ELLE UK’s own words, as quoted by IndianCountryNews (the copy has since been revised): “We persuaded ELLE Style Award winner Pharrell to trade his Vivienne Westwood mountie hat for a native American feather headdress in his best ever shoot.”
Best ever? Nope, not even close. The whole Internet has spent years begging the fashion industry to pleeeasse stop treating feathered headdresses like ‘it’ accessories, but the message still hasn’t gotten through. This time, though, the outrage has a hashtag: #NotHappy, riffing on the performer’s popular hit, “Happy.” The fashion industry loves hashtags; maybe now they’ll #finally take notice?

To his credit, Pharrell issued a short and sweet apology early this morning through his publicist via the Washington Post: “I respect and honor every kind of race, background and culture. I am genuinely sorry.”

]]>The post Pharrell’s New Art Show Aims to Celebrate Women, Includes Graphic Work by Terry Richardson appeared first on theFashionSpot.
]]>The exhibition aims to “celebrate women who are above all free, liberated by artists and their boundless, unfettered imagination” and includes several pieces of provocative feminist art which examine gender roles from a critical perspective, by artists such as Cindy Sherman, Marina Abramović, Yoko Ono and Sophie Calle.
However, as Sarah Moroz for The Guardian writes, the show is made “heartbreaking and absurd” by the inclusion of a photograph by Terry Richardson: “The image is a slice of girl shown from belly button to upper thigh, a chocolate heart dangling in front of her vagina with the words ‘Eat Me’ scrawled in pink. Even if one were to repress the allegations that the photographer is a loathsome sexual predator, the image is a baffling inclusion,” she writes.
[To be clear: although several women have come forward with allegations about Richardson’s inappropriate and exploitative working methods, the photographer has never been charged.]
“[Richardson] has his own expression,” Pharrell told The Guardian‘s Moroz when she confronted him. “What we were trying to accomplish with this project was to house many different facets of women. This was meant to be a democracy, where people could contribute their views as long as we didn’t see it as being outside of what we were trying to do … We want people to talk about these issues; we want to spark conversation… Just because you’re a good girl doesn’t mean you don’t have naughty thoughts.”
Emmanuel Perrotin, the gallerist who co-curated the show later approached Moroz to tell her that the accusations against Richardson were all false. He also added: “I saw [Terry Richardson] on many occasions doing photoshoots, and it’s a real big party all together; I promise you the woman part of the photoshoot doesn’t look a victim of anything.”
People have the right to make and display any work of art, but including a piece by Richardson in an art show explicitly dedicated to women’s liberation, without being aware of the implications, is an embarrassment — and it raises serious questions about Pharrell and Perrotin’s authority and judgment as curators.

]]>The post Pharrell’s Mountie Head Topper Launches a Thousand Post-Grammys Memes appeared first on theFashionSpot.
]]>After kicking off the red carpet with the commanding accessory, Pharrell – who took home three awards with his “Get Lucky” collaborators Daft Punk – went on to rotate his headwear through the night, showing off a never-ending parade of cowboy hats. But it was still the Stetson-style piece that garnered the most attention, even going so far as having a Twitter account created after it.
@PharrellHat was quickly established and, by Monday morning, had already racked up close to 15,000 followers thanks to a series of memes…
Even NKOB’s Jonathon Knight got in on the action, Instagramming his own side-by-side comparison, having clearly ditched the awards in favour of a night spent Photoshopping…
But whether the look was intended to launch a thousand memes, or whether he genuinely loves the Mounties uniform, it goes with saying that only Pharrell could pull off such a head-turning piece. Unless… I don’t know, do you think you could wear it??
