Chanel Pre-Fall 2011 Beauty Look and Newbie Spring Products

Few brands influence color trends in beauty to the extent that Chanel does – especially brands that have a fashion, not cosmetic, heritage. During 2010 Fashion’s Night Out, when most people were looking to celebrity ogle and take advantage of free booze, customers eager to buy the limited edition Les Khakis de Chanel nail polish lined up outside the store. The result? Khaki-tinted brown, green, gray, and rose hues became omnipresent in the weeks following the one-night event. With that in mind, take a look at the Chanel Pre-Fall 2011 Paris-Byzance themed collection’s beauty look for an idea of what we can expect trend-wise in the months to come.

Skin – Hydramax + Active Nourishing Cream, Vitalumiere Aqua (skin perfecting makeup), Poudre Universelle Libre (natural finish loose powder), Éclat Lumiere (highlighter face pen), and Correcteur Perfection (long lasting concealer).

Eyes – Newbie products Regard Signe de Chanel in Topkapi & Jques Contraste Powder Blush in Rouge (both launching June 2011), Le Crayon Levres (lip definer in Rouge), Le Crayon Khol (eye pencil), Le Crayon Yeux (eye definer in Brun Teak), Le Crayon Sourcils (available August 2011), Inimitable Mascara in Noir.

Cheeks – Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Or ( available June 2011), and in Moca were applied to the cheeks; Soin Tendre Levres on the lips.

Nails – Beige Petale (available May 2011) was applied on the nails.

The key product to get on this trend now is red liner for your eyes; for the most hue options, however, opt for a lip liner (like Tom Pecheux, who used a lip pencil to create the beauty look at Derek Lam‘s S/S 2011 show when he couldn’t find an eye liner in orange).
